This is the first in a three-piece series for my metals class. I'm taking inspiration from nature and color, combining them with my own personal style in 3-D form. It's made from sterling silver with a band of deer hide. The red is an epoxy resin colored with tumeric spice. During critique it was dubbed the 'Hippie Watch'.

This is the design that I made for Earth Week here on campus, which is coming up this week. Or maybe next week. I'm really excited, it's going to be on t-shirts and flyers all around. Yay!!

In the process of illustrating a book for a program called WeRead here at U of M. A creative writing major wrote the story I'm working on, which is about two feisty hedgehogs who go on a little adventure... it's really cute, for sure. And it goes right along with my watercolor style, which is so nice!! Here are a few sketches I've done so far.

I recently sold some watercolors to this super nice lady from Grand Rapids who saw my postcards in Pickle Point over the summer. She ordered invitations from me for a party, the theme being 'All Things Spring', so I went crazy painting flowers. I had such a great time doing them, I might continue on with this project and do some large scale works.
