happy life

Well hello!!! I am very excited because my show, happy life, is starting today at the Alberta House up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan! Or maybe actually it was yesterday. Whatever, it is up and I am pleased with how it looks! I'm showing with two other artists, Dale and Sue Johnson, who do photography and drawings that are just lovely! We're having a reception on Friday, March 9, from 6-9 pm, and if I haven't found you yet to give you a postcard, here it is! You're invited!

Check out my poster!

I designed it for the TEDx that's coming up pretty soon down in Ann Arbor! There are actually a bunch of differed posters that were designed as well by my art school friends---check out this link to see the whole lot of them!

Pending.............

So many lovely things happening!! There are two really big projects that are pending, so when (and if) they become 100% for sure, I will post about them, probably using an alarming amount of exclamation points.

For right now, I'm just working away at stuff for my show at Alberta House and the Maker's Market, one of the Snowsfest Events in Hessel.

They Draw and Cook Breakfast + I am a robot

Right now I'm just making and making and making and sometimes I feel like an art robot. So I stop and try to do something else, but all I want to do is be back in my studio. Or reading. OhmyGOSH I just finished reading Abhorsen, which is the third novel in this fantasy series by Garth Nix.... Unbelievable! So great! They would be fascinating as films. And the cover art is so beautiful. I think that's why I bought the book in the first place. But anyway--- I guess I'm just content to be a reading and arting robot for right now. I just whipped out a project the other day to submit to They Draw & Cook, which is this excellent website of recipe art. I did the recipe for what I had eaten for breakfast that morning, and basically every other morning...it's so good. And easy.
